How to Distinguish
the Vulcanization Speed of Accelerators
Standard
Internationally, it is customary to take the vulcanization speed of accelerator M on natural rubber (the ultra-rapid grade) as the standard to distinguish the vulcanization speed of various accelerators. Those faster than accelerator M belong to the ultra-rapid or super-ultra-rapid grade, and those slower than accelerator M belong to the slow or medium-rapid grade.
5 Levels of Vulcanization Speed
01) Super-Ultra-Rapid Grade
- Product Category: Dithiocarbamates, Xanthates
- Main Products: EZ, BZ, PZ, ZBEC, PX, DIP, UH-100…
02) Ultra-Rapid Grade
- Product Category: Thiurams
- Main Products: TT, TS, TBzTD, TIBTD, DPTT, DDTS, TE, TETD…. The optimum vulcanization time for natural rubber at 140℃ is several minutes.
03) Semi-Ultra-Rapid Grade
- Product Category: Thiazoles, Sulfenamides
- Main Products: M, DM, MZ, MDB, CZ, NS, DZ, TBSI… The optimum vulcanization time for natural rubber at 140℃ is 30 minutes.
04) Medium-Rapid Grade
- Product Category: Guanidines
- Main Products: DPG, DOTG… The optimum vulcanization time for natural rubber at 140℃ is about 60 minutes.
05) Slow Grade
- Product Category: Thioureas, Aldehyde Amines
- Main Products: ETU, DETU, DBTU, DPTU, H, HB… The optimum vulcanization time for natural rubber at 140℃ is about 90-120 minutes.
